Madingley Hall Gardens Open – 5 June with teas served from the church

The gardens of Madingley Hall will be open as part of the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday 5 June (2.30 – 5.30pm).   The C16 Hall (not open) is set in 8 acres of attractive grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. Features include the landscaped walled garden with hazel walk, alpine bed, medicinal border and rose pergola. There is also a wild flower meadow, topiary, mature trees and wide variety of hardy plants.  Admission costs £5.00 and children are admitted free. This is the Parish Church’s big fundraising event of the year .  Members of the congregation and villagers are welcome to help on the day and or bake cakes beforehand.  Please contact the Parish Secretary for further information.
